The Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) are a recognition programme where local Rotary Clubs and employers select young people who currently hold leadership positions, or have shown potential to lead, either within the community or at work. RYLA provides an opportunity to participate in a week long residential conference where you will get to:
- Exchange ideas with like-minded people in a supportive environment;
- Discover ways to become a better role model;
- Develop a close rapport with your local Rotary Club.
In addition to the many indoor programme, there are plenty of outdoor activities to help motivate and develop effective team work, which also assists in the development of greater interpersonal skills.
So, sit back, participate and take all that you can from your RYLA experience.
This Blog is for all participants in RYLA 2010 to make comments about their experiences at RYLA and we encourage families and friends and the sponsoring Rotary Clubs to view the blogs each day as a way of being kept informed as to what each participant has been learning and doing.
